Best known as Carrie A. Nation because of his second husband David Nation. (She said it meant "Carry A Nation for Prohibition") She was an anti-alcohol activist and a radical member of the temperance movement. Her first husband was alcoholic, that's why she was so obsessed fighting against alcohol. She is particularly noteworthy for destroying taverns and bars with her hatchet (and always with her bible in hand).
