My name is Jaque (almost pronounced like Jackie) Jours. I'm a Mexican illustrator who likes to write and paint stories with traditional techniques.

I’ve worked for brands, magazines, and publishers across Mexico and abroad. I designed the 2026 Brooklyn Book Festival official poster, and in 2023, I was awarded a FONCA (National Foundation for the Arts and Culture) fellowship by the Mexican Government to make my debut picture book: The Muéganos, which has received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus, BookPage, and SLJ.

I studied Architecture & Interior Design, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Literature. Both things led me to discover my passion for painting, writing, and illustrating books.

I’m always looking for new projects, so feel free to drop me a message so we can work together.
